Get to Know Glenn Freedman, a Collage Artist

A series of serendipitous contacts came into my life, which ultimately led me to put “paper to paper.” I was particularly influenced by a painter, Craig Manister, who was also a boyhood friend of mine. His early abstract expressionist works influenced my thinking and approach to my artistic journey.

My Current Work

Influenced by past and present artists that work in similar media, I am able to create unique pieces that allow to me explore different histories. I utilize a variety of objects, from old tickets, receipts, certificates, and postage stamps to handmade paper and other ephemera. Their variance in color, shape, and texture provides me with an opportunity to create an unlimited collection of abstract pieces that express connections in time.
